A great new nature park is open for exploring, hiking, canoeing, and more in Marianna. The Hinson Conservation and Recreation Area, a part of the Chipola River Greenway project, contains a bluff trail along the Chipola River, caves, and many other wonders of nature. It is located just a mile south of the Courthouse on Hwy 73.
Another inclusion in the Chipola Greenway is a trail system accessed a couple of miles north of the Hinson Conservation and Recreation Area, at the north end of Noland Street in Marianna. This video explores the natural beauty of these trails.
For the fourth year, Alys Beach in South Walton County allowed its iconic white walls and understated architecture to be the screens on which innovative digital works of art were projected at the socket5客户端破解版, a juried digital art competition and exhibition. The festival was held from 8:30pm until Midnight on Saturday, June 11th, 2011.
Not everything in the Florida Panhandle/Northwest Florida is fun, unfortunately. Watch out for Rattlesnakes (Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake - Crotalus adamanteus), Ground Rattler), Water Moccasins (Cotton Mouth, Agkistrodon piscivorus), Coral Snakes, and Copperheads (see video) in warm weather.

The Florida Panhandle (Northwest Florida), due to its many natural springs, is one of the choice locations in the world for Cave Diving. According to the National Speleological Society Cave Diving Section, "Jackson County may be the best supporter of cave diving in Florida, maybe even in the world."
